What is PayNow?

PayNow enables your customers to instantly pay your Invoice using not only all of the standard methods, Debit Cards and Credit Cards, but also using Mobile Payment options such as Google Pay and Apple Pay. This means that your customer can pay you instantly and securely by simply opening your invoice and clicking the PayNow button or scanning the PayNow QR Code.

What are the Benefits of PayNow?

PayNow makes it as easy as possible for your customers to pay you instantly with whatever payment method they prefer.So now you can complete a Job, send the invoice by email or sms and your customer can pay you within seconds. The process is super fast, extremely secure and your customer doesn’t need to hand over a card or give you their credit card details. Everything including the receipt can be completely automated.

Do I have to pay extra for the PayNow add-on?

No, the PayNow add-on is a free Cleaners App powered by Formitize add-on available for all customers. Formitize does add a nominal amount to the Stripe transaction fee to help pay for the hosting, management and security elements of the platform, but there is no add-on fee for PayNow.

What are the PayNow transaction fees?

Formitize adds a very nominal $1.00 per transaction to help cover the hosting, management, support and security elements of the PayNow platform. Stripe transaction fees can be found at www.Stripe.com

What is Stripe?

Stripe is one of the largest online payment gateways in the world processing more than 13,000 requests per second! Stripe’s security, processes and reputation (with an historical uptime score of 99.999%) make it the preferred payment gateway for the Formitize PayNow feature.

Do I need an Account with Stripe to use PayNow?

Yes, you will need a Stripe account in order to use PayNow.

How do I activate PayNow on my account?

You can activate PayNow from your Settings

Can I use other Payment Providers?

PayNow currently only works with Stripe. If there are other payment providers that you would like us to consider, please let us know through our Feature Request Board here

Can my customers pay using Apple Pay and Google Pay?

Absolutely, mobile payments is one of the fastest growing payment options and is loved by customers for its ease of use and security. Apple Pay and Google Pay cover the market and open up new channels for instant payment.

Can my customers pay with debit and credit cards?

Yes, all of the traditional payment methods are supported and both Debt and Credit Card payment options remain very popular with customers.

Can I send an Invoice link by Email or SMS?

Yes, when you create a new invoice, a link to PayNow is automatically generated along with a QR code. So your customers can either click on the link in the email or sms message, or they can scan the QR code to pay your invoice instantly. 

Can I still send a PDF of the Invoice?

Absolutely, you can still send your clients the PDF version of your Invoice. With PayNow, you can automatically add the QR code link to your Invoice so the customer looking at the PDF can simply scan and pay. The choice is yours!

What do my customers see when I send them the Invoice link?

You send the Invoice link to your customer by email, SMS or QR code. Your customer opens the link and will be taken straight to the PayNow page. The PayNow page shows the both Invoice itself and the PayNow options. Your customer can check the invoice details and then pay instantly using their preferred payment method.

Do I get notified when I get paid?

Yes, your customer receives a “Successful Payment” notification that includes the Transaction ID, Payment Amount Confirmation and Date with the ability to download a Receipt. You can also receive a notification as soon as an Invoice has been paid.

Can I de-activate PayNow if I don’t use it?

Yes, you will be able to de-activate PayNow in your account Settings. You will still be able to send PDF invoices, you will just not be able to take instant payments through the platform.
